Navigate to the \u201cHome\u201d screen where you load documents. If you just opened the app, you\u2019re already there. Once you\u2019re running the latest version of Word, you\u2019ll see a message that says \u201cAll apps are up-to-date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re done, close AutoUpdate, and you\u2019re ready to get back to writing.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Update_Word_Purchased_From_an_App_Store\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_2\">How to Update Word Purchased From an App Store<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019ve downloaded or purchased Microsoft Word as a standalone app from the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/686766\/how-to-update-all-your-mac-apps\/\">Mac App store or the Microsoft Store on Windows, you can update Word from the store app itself.<\/p>\n<p>On a Mac, open the App Store and click \u201cUpdates\u201d in the sidebar.
