BEVs are the preferred powertrain of today\u2019s consumers<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-3'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-4\" href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/ev-sales-can-overthrow-gas-guzzlers-in-europe-by-2025-study-finds\/#A_word_of_caution\" >A word of caution<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;<strong>#EV sales can overthrow gas-guzzlers in Europe by 2025, study finds<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                            <span>Efforts by automakers and legislators seem to be paying off, as a new study found that consumers\u2019 <\/span>transition to all-electric vehicles<span>\u00a0in the EU and UK is \u201cinevitable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.platformelectromobility.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/20220110_InevitableEV_Final.pdf\"> study<\/a> was conducted by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.element-energy.co.uk\/\">Element Energy<\/a> and included 14,000 respondents from the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Poland, and the Netherlands. You know, the countries that make up <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/public.knoema.com\/sprkage\/new-registrations-in-european-union-and-efta\">nearly 80% of the new passenger car registrations<\/a> across the EU, UK, and EFTA region.<\/p>\n<p>And, folks, the key findings are so optimistic that they\u2019ve really made my day.<\/p>\n<p>So, let\u2019s get cracking.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Lower_upfront_cost_will_make_EVs_the_most_in-demand_powertrain_from_2025\"><\/span>1. Lower upfront cost will make EVs the most in-demand powertrain from 2025<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Interestingly, upfront cost was identified as the most influential factor in consumer powertrain decision, while driving range, running cost, and access to charging came as secondary.<\/p>\n<p>The study found that rapid growth of EVs is the result of the expected reduction in electric vehicle prices over the coming decade, driven by falling production costs of lithium-ion batteries and the introduction of lower specification, more affordable EVs to the market.<\/p>\n<p>Correspondingly, consumer demand for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is forecast to become greater than that of any other powertrain by 2025. BEVs are the preferred powertrain of today\u2019s consumers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Across all markets, the vast majority of respondents (73%) would prefer an EV over an ICE if their properties were equal.
