Gentefied<\/i> was canceled by Netflix earlier this week, and both the co-creator, Linda Yvette Cha\u0301vez, and executive producer, America Ferrera, spoke about the decision by the streaming service. Gentefied<\/i> aired for two seasons on Netflix.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Cha\u0301vez said the following about the series, per Deadline<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cMetrics and algorithms will never measure the true impact of what we did here. Don\u2019t let anyone tell you we didn\u2019t succeed. We blasted through a brick wall and made ourselves known. That looks like a whole lot of success to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
