\n Some unlucky riders on Disney World\u2019s Splash Mountain almost ended up \u201cunder the sea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Passengers on the log flume tweeted late Sunday about a harrowing experience in which their boat took on water mid-ride at the Florida theme<\/a> park.<\/p>\n

\u201cso we got out of our boat because it was sinking while we were stuck there,\u201d wrote one rider, along with a video clip of the water-logged vessel. \u201cthe disney world employee decided to tell us that we should\u2019ve stayed in the boat but it went under as soon as we all stepped out\u2026 nice\u201d<\/p>\n

Another passenger aboard the doomed trip<\/a> tweeted a pair of before-and-after photos, the first showing her and her boyfriend seated in the ride with water up past their ankles, and the second of the mostly-submerged boat.<\/p>\n

A third visitor wrote that the mishap happened shortly after the ride\u2019s climactic moment.<\/p>\n

A ride vehicle has completely sunk on Splash Mountain- just after the Riverboat finale scene,\u201d their message read. \u201cBoat is entirely under water, with its nose UNDER the log in front of it. Guests currently being evac\u2019d PAST IT rather than an alternate route.\u201d<\/p>\n

The same visitor wrote hours earlier that he\u2019d just gotten off the ride to find it eerily quiet.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo joke- 80% of the animatronics are currently off,\u201d the first tweet read. \u201cYikes.\u201d<\/p>\n
