The key thing, remember, is that Bitcoin is the least risky among cryptos.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As the Fed attempts to rein in inflation and dramatically decrease asset purchases, the outlook is thus much less appealing for risk assets in the near term. For McGlone, however, there is a silver lining when it comes to Bitcoin\u2019s inherent appeal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s transitioning from a risk-on to a risk-off asset,\u201d he continued, adding that he \u201cthinks Bitcoin will come out better off\u201d after the period of policy upheaval.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHere\u2019s my prediction: The markets pull back finally, and we get a 10%\u201320% correction in the stock market. All correlations are one, which is usually the way it works. Source: TradingView<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Fed_fights_its_balance_sheet\"><\/span>The Fed fights its balance sheet<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, McGlone, who is famous for his bullish takes on Bitcoin in the past, is far from alone in his caution.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related:\u00a0Analysts warn that Bitcoin could dip to $38K &#8216;before an eventual breakout&#8217;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Cointelegraph reported, even Bitcoin traders themselves are bracing for testing times ahead, while the analyst\u2019s views were echoed earlier this month by Arthur Hayes, ex-CEO of derivatives trading platform BitMEX.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe loose US monetary conditions definitely influenced the meteoric rise in price (albeit a few months delayed),\u201d he\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptohayes.medium.com\/maelstrom-ee6021e9d0c2\">wrote<\/a>\u00a0about the Fed\u2019s balance sheet in a blog post on policy and Bitcoin. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSince M2% growth stalled, Bitcoin has traded sideways.
