Attending the virtual meeting were TBMM group deputy chairmen Mahir \u00dcnal and Mustafa Elita\u015f along with \u00d6mer \u0130leri, the vice president of Ak Party responsible for information and communication technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Physically, Elita\u015f attended the meeting from the parliament building, while \u00dcnal and \u0130leri were at the Ak Party (AKP) headquarters. Crypto regulation was the highlight of the meeting, \u00dcnal told state-run <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> agency AA, adding that crypto assets require both financial and legal regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Elita\u015f, who recently hosted a meeting with representatives from the Turkish crypto ecosystem at TBMM, stressed that it\u2019s impossible to stay out of the virtual world. \u201cI believe that metaverse-based meetings would be improved expeditiously and become an essential part of our lives,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Elita\u015f is also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com.tr\/tr\/politika\/ak-parti-grup-baskanvekili-elitas-binance-turkiye-temsilcileriyle-gorusecek\/2477109\">expected<\/a> to meet with Binance Turkey on Thursday. As reported before, Binance Turkey was fined 8 million Turkish lira (about $600,000)\u00a0after failing an audit for monitoring Anti-Money Laundering compliance.<\/p>\n<p>As blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> made digital ownership possible, Turkey has sped up its metaverse efforts, \u00d6\u0130leri said. The AKP is striving to develop policies regarding crypto assets and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> to protect the citizens while empowering Turkey\u2019s innovation capabilities, he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>While the Turkish government is keen on blockchain technology and a central bank digital currency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan is known for his stern stance against cryptocurrencies.
