\nThe upcoming Blue Lock<\/em> soccer anime<\/a> has received a character trailer for protagonist Yoichi Isagi. The show is set to premiere in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blue Lock\u00a0<\/em>is based on the manga\u00a0written by Munemuki Kaneshiro <\/strong>and drawn by Yuusuke Nomura<\/strong>, which began in 2018 and has 17 tankoubon volumes as of December 2021. It is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and published under the Kodansha Comics label.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t be the number one striker in the world unless you\u2019re the number one egotist in the world. In order to cultivate a striker who can lead Japan to victory in the World Cup, the Japan Football Union devises a plan. They call it the \u201cBlue Lock Project.\u201d Three hundred high school students are gathered, all of them forwards. Who will be the one striker born from the sacrifice of 299 soccer-centered lives, the one who will revolutionize Japanese soccer? The most passionate, intense soccer anime in history is about to begin.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Are\u00a0you kidding me<\/em>?) and Kento Toya<\/strong> (Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night<\/em>) as character designers and chief animation directors, and Yuu Shindou<\/strong> (Fruits Basket The Final<\/em>) as main character designer as well as chief animation director.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other staff include Hisashi Higashijima<\/strong> (Mahoujin Guru Guru<\/em> co-main animator) as chief action director, Hiromi Sakamoto<\/strong> (Caligula<\/em> co-main animator) as action director, Sakura Komatsu<\/strong> (The\u00a0Irregular\u00a0at Magic High School:\u00a0Reminiscence Arc<\/em>) as color designer, Takagi Sawako<\/strong> (Dropkick on My Devil!<\/em>) as art director, Asagi Yasuhiro<\/strong> (Kageki Shoujo!!)<\/em> as photography director, and Jun Murayama<\/strong> as music composer. Eight Bit<\/strong> is the animation production company.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the cast includes Kazuki Ura<\/strong> as Yoichi Isagi, Tasuku Kaito<\/strong> as Meguru Bachira, Yuuki Ono<\/strong> as Rensuke Kunigami, and Souma Saitou<\/strong> as Hyouma Chigiri.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
