That\u2019s a long time for any smart lighting product, and as Nanoleaf advances its devices with technologies like Thread, it\u2019s time to send the old Light Panels off for retirement.<\/p>\n<p>As of January 19th, Nanoleaf no longer sells its original Light Panels. The company promises to support the old Light Panels \u201cforever,\u201d but from here on out, customers that want to get into Nanoleaf must buy the company\u2019s more advanced (and better-looking)\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nanoleaf.me\/en-US\/products\/compare\/\">smart lighting decor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"lU1LmaBl86o\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/lU1LmaBl86o\/hqdefault.jpg');\">\n<button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>Additionally, Nanoleaf is running a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nanoleaf.me\/en-US\/products\/nanoleaf-light-panels\/#overview\">limited-time\u00a0fire sale<\/a> on Light Panels and some accessories. But the company has mostly sold out of these discounted devices\u2014yeah, I was hoping to grab some too!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re still using the original Light Panels and want to upgrade, now\u2019s probably the time to sell those old things on eBay. Nanoleaf calls the Rhythm Light Panels a \u201cpiece of history,\u201d so maybe I\u2019m wrong here, but the Light Panels probably won\u2019t\u00a0<em>increase<\/em> in value anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p>That said, Nanoleaf will offer replacement parts for original Light Panels until 2030.
