For months we\u2019ve been hearing leaks and rumors about the Pixel Fold, Google\u2019s mysterious folding phone, and now new details are shedding light on its potential name and a somewhat affordable price tag. The device could be named the Google \u201cPixel Notepad\u201d and be cheaper than Samsung\u2019s popular Galaxy Fold 3.<\/p>\n

According to a source who spoke to\u00a09to5Google<\/em><\/a>, Google\u2019s Pixel Notepad may feature a design similar to the Oppo Find N<\/a>, rather than the tall and skinny form factor of Samsung\u2019s foldable. Furthermore, that source went on to call it the Pixel Notepad instead of the Pixel Fold.<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, the \u201cNotepad\u201d name is just the internal working name, and there\u2019s always a possibility that things change between now and its inevitable release date. Spotted in the Android 12L beta, here\u2019s a potential look at the design.<\/p>\n

As you can see, Google\u2019s folding Pixel Notepad may have a design that somewhat resembles a Notebook\u2014being a little shorter and wider than other folding phones on the market. The source also mentioned that Google\u2019s Pixel Notepad would indeed cost less than Samsung\u2019s Galaxy Fold 3, which starts at $1,799. However, the leakster didn\u2019t say how much less.<\/p>\n

It sounds like Google\u2019s folding phone will arrive in the United States first, be very limited, and eventually get released in other countries. Basically, this unique phone will have a fun design, a high price tag, and likely be hard to get at first.<\/p>\n

Earlier leaks suggest the foldable will use Google\u2019s new Tensor processor, have decent cameras, and arrive sometime in the first half of 2022. Here\u2019s everything we know so far about Google\u2019s Pixel foldable, and you\u2019ll want to stay tuned for more details.<\/p>\n
