\nIt\u2019s over for Jennie Nguyen<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em> cast member has officially been fired from the Bravo<\/strong> show after racist social media<\/a> posts from her Facebook<\/strong> account surfaced over the last few weeks.<\/p>\n

In the 2020 posts, which were written during the Black Lives Matter movement following the murder of George Floyd<\/strong>, Nguyen called BLM protesters \u201cthugs,\u201d shared racist memes, and regurgitated pro-police talking points. The mother-of-three shared an apology on social media last week, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the time, I thought I was speaking out against violence, but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were. It\u2019s why I deactivated that account more than a year ago and why I continue to try to learn about perspectives different from my own. I regret these posts and am sincerely sorry for the pain they caused.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But that was too little, too late for fans \u2014 not to mention, the network, which announced it has now \u201cceased filming\u201d with Jennie on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A statement from the network read:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recognize we failed to take app<\/a>ropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention. Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Andy Cohen<\/strong> shared similar sentiments on Monday\u2019s episode of his SiriusXM<\/strong> show, Radio Andy<\/em>, telling listeners:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe posts were very upsetting \u2026 and disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The 53-year-old host went on to reveal that he and Nguyen\u2019s co-star, Lisa Barlow<\/strong>, only quickly discussed the controversy on Sunday\u2019s episode of Watch What Happens Live<\/em> because they pretaped it last Wednesday, just hours after the posts started making headlines.<\/p>\n
