To do that, select your image and you will see various icons. Hover your cursor over an icon to see its name.<\/p>\n<p>The options you can choose from are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In Line<\/strong>: To keep both your image and your text on the same line, select this option.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wrap Text<\/strong>: This option wraps your text around your photo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Break Text<\/strong>: This option ensures the text is only above or below your image, but not on the right or left side of the image.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Behind Text<\/strong>: This shows your text on top of the image.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In Front of Text<\/strong>: This option places your image on top of your text, which basically hides the text where you put your image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After making your choice, select measurement options from the drop-down menus that open next to the above options.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-776080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/3-docs-desktop-text-layout.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Change the layout of the text around the image.\" width=\"650\" height=\"287\"\/><\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s how you reposition the images in your Google Docs documents. You can directly drag the image and drop it wherever you want in the document.<\/p>\n<p>To manage the layout of the text surrounding your image, use the \u201cText Wrap\u201d menu.
