\nThe <\/span>My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex <\/span><\/i>anime, an adaptation of the romantic comedy light novels by <\/span>Kyousuke Kamishiro<\/b>,<\/span> is set to premiere sometime in 2022. A visual and teaser trailer have been released.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was also revealed that the anime is produced by <\/span>Project No.9<\/b> and directed by Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki\u2019s <\/span>Shinsuke Yanagi<\/b>. Deko Akao<\/strong> (<\/span>The Case Study of Vanitas<\/em>) is the series<\/a> composer and script<\/a>writer, while Katsuyuki Satou<\/strong> (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway<\/em> chief animation director) is the character designer.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On the cast side, Rina Hidaka <\/b>and<\/span> Hiro Shimono<\/b> are playing the roles of main characters Yume Irido and Mizuto Irido respectively.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex <\/span><\/i>light novels, which feature illustrations from Takaya-Ki<\/strong>, began in 2018 and have seven volumes as of July 2021. The books are published under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The story began life in 2017 as a web novel that was published on Kadokawa\u2019s Kakuyomu website. The light novels inspired a manga adaptation in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
