Carmen Villain&#8217;s electric impulses tend toward the natural world. &#8220;Gestures&#8221; \u2014 the lead single from her forthcoming record, <i>Only Love From Now On<\/i>, out February 25 via Smalltown Supersound \u2014 spirited the listener into a forest on some distant planet. And today&#8217;s follow-up, &#8220;Subtle Bodies,&#8221; seems to zoom in on a single, gentle stream.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            For the new track, the U.S.-born, Norwegian-Mexican sound artist drew inspiration from the work of Cuban-American performance artist and sculptor Ana Mendieta.<\/p>\n<p>            &#8220;I found Ana Mendieta\u2019s work deeply moving in many ways, in an emotional sense but also in the way she fully immersed herself into her art, connecting her humanity, strength, rage and vulnerability with nature,\u201d Villain writes. \u201cIt&#8217;s a deeply layered immersion. I had her, and especially her \u2018Silueta\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, in mind when I made \u2018Subtle Bodies.\u2019 Making music is for me about a complete immersion into sound, a continuous conversation between an idea and what comes back to me from what develops sonically.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"\" style=\"padding-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 20px; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>            Villain has also shared an even slower, longer, more languid reimagining of &#8220;Subtle Bodies'&#8221; slow-moving stream by New York-via-Kansas producer Brian Leeds (Huerco S).<\/p>\n<p>            &#8220;I have been a big fan of Brian\u2019s work for a good while,&#8221; Villain explains. &#8220;He\u2019s got an impeccable <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach to sound and texture and communicates a lot with his music I think. So I was very happy he was into doing a version for me when I asked him.
