\nThe main visual for BLACK ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL<\/em> has been released by the anime<\/a>’s Twitter<\/a> page. It was also revealed that an advance screening of the first episode will be held at the Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema on February 25 and that a Pixiv illustration contest<\/a> will run until February 27.<\/span><\/p>\n

The anime is set to premiere in April. Aside from airing on Japanese TV, it will also be streamed via Disney+.<\/span><\/p>\n

The staff of BLACK ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL<\/em> includes Tenshou<\/strong> (Azur Lane The Animation<\/em>, Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation<\/em>) as director, Makoto Fukami<\/strong> (Blade of the Immortal<\/em>) as series<\/a> composer and script<\/a>writer, Ryou Yoshigami<\/strong> (Psycho-Pass 3<\/em> scriptwriter) as assistant series composer and co-scriptwriter, and Masayuki Nonaka<\/strong> (Azur Lane The Animation<\/em>) as character designer and chief animation director.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other staff include huke<\/strong> as the original character designer and illustrator Rui Tomono<\/strong> with Nitroplus\u2019s Makoto Ishiwata<\/strong> and Youjo Oota<\/strong> as concept designers. Bibury Animation Studios<\/strong> and Bibury Animation CG<\/strong> are the animation production studios.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yui Ishikawa<\/strong> as Empress\/ Black Rock Shooter, Saori Hayami<\/strong> as Dead Master, and Megumi Han<\/strong> as Strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

BLACK ROCK SHOOTER<\/em> originated as an original character by illustrator huke<\/strong> in 2007. The character inspired huke<\/strong>\u2019s fellow supercell member ryo<\/strong> to create a song<\/a> based on the illustration, with vocaloid Hatsune Miku<\/strong> providing the vocals. huke produced a PV for the song. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to BLACK ROCK SHOOTER DAWN FALL<\/em>, huke<\/strong>\u2019s creation inspired two anime in the form of an OVA in 2010 and a TV series in 2012. There have also been video game<\/a>s and manga featuring the character. <\/span><\/p>\n
