An <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roximately $240,000 reward, or 6.25 BTC, was generated by yet another solo miner on Tuesday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This time, the odds were less than 20%, according to Con Kolivas, a Bitcoin software engineer and administrator for CKPool, whose name takes his initials. At 1.14 petahashes per second (PH\/s), the miner is considered a \u201cwhale\u201d miner, with a considerable hash rate for one single entity.<\/p>\n<p>A new Bitcoin block is solved roughly every 10 minutes by miners competing against the entire Bitcoin network hash rate. By way of comparison, United States Bitcoin miners Foundry is currently the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/btc.com\/btc\/insights-pools\">largest<\/a> contributor to the network hash rate, with 33,803 PH\/s.<\/p>\n<p>One <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> user <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zegwadekh\/status\/1488462658915422210\">estimated<\/a> that while 1.14 PH\/s is a lot, it is still less than a room full of S19s, the flagship mining product by Antminer. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Bitcoin miners believe global hash rate to grow \u2018aggressively\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CKPool has taken the mining world by storm recently. A Bitcoin miner with a tiny hash rate of just 126 terahashes per second (TH\/s) \u2014 possibly a single S19 machine \u2014\u00a0solved a valid block on Jan. 12.\u00a0Two weeks later, another underdog with a mere 86 TH\/s achieved the improbable by solving another valid block. <\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the Bitcoin blockchain\u2019s existence, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ckpooldev\/status\/1488454376180285443\">264<\/a> blocks or 0.037% of the 721,240 blocks were solved by CK\u2019s solo Bitcoin miners.
