This offline version of\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> will update with new words every day, even if your iPhone or iPad never connects to the internet.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re going to use an overlooked iOS feature, called Reading List, to save an offline version of\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> to your iPhone or iPad. This trick works with both the Safari and Chrome browser on iOS, and the process to get everything set up is virtually identical in each browser.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"admonishment_note\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Saving\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> to your computer will let you play the game for free forever. But if the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em> ever sticks\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> behind a paywall, the offline version in your iOS Reading List might become useless. Your iPhone, iPad, or Mac may automatically cache any changes to the website (such as a paywall), preventing free offline use.<br \/>\nThis trick simply lets you play <em>Wordle<\/em> offline on an iPhone or iPad, which might come in handy if you spend a lot of time in planes or just don\u2019t want to use mobile data. That said, I suppose this trick will preserve <em>Wordle<\/em> forever if you permanently disconnect your iOS device from the internet.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While Google Chrome on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/722400\/how-to-enable-google-chromes-reading-list-on-android\/\">Android <em>does<\/em>\u00a0feature a Reading List<\/a>, it doesn\u2019t save\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> correctly. In fact, it\u2019s just like setting up a bookmark. The only difference is that items in your Reading List work offline, as they\u2019re cached to your device.<\/p>\n<p>To add\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> to your iOS Reading List, open the\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> website in Chrome or Safari and press the share button (the square with an arrow). Then, select the option that says \u201cAdd to Reading List.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re done; that\u2019s all there is to it! The offline version of\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> is now available in your Reading List. It will also sync to the Reading List on all of your other <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le products, so long as you use Safari and have\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/175294\/how-to-sync-any-browsers-bookmarks-with-your-ipad-or-iphone\/\">iCloud bookmark sync<\/a> enabled.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1920px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-109153\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.reviewgeek.com\/p\/uploads\/2022\/02\/7ae5e99a.png\" alt=\"Wordle in the reading list on iPad.\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span class=\"imagecredit\">Andrew Heinzman<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To open your Reading List in Safari on iPhone, tap the bookmarks icon (it\u2019s literally a book) and select \u201cReading List.\u201d Those who use an iPad need to tap the square icon in the top left corner of Safari to view bookmarks and the Reading List.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome users on iPhone or iPad simply need to press the three-dot menu icon at the top or bottom of their browser. Then, select \u201cReading List\u201d from the drop-down menu.<\/p>\n<p>I suggest disconnecting your iPhone or iPad from mobile data to test if\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> cached correctly in your Reading List. And if your Reading List ever decides to delete itself, you can go through these steps again or <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/guide\/icloud\/restore-safari-bookmarks-reading-list-mmf039e1d085\/icloud\">recover your Reading List<\/a> from an iCloud backup.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p>Again, saving\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> to your Reading List won\u2019t let you play the game for free forever. Unless you permanently keep your iOS device offline, it may cache any changes to the\u00a0<em>Wordle<\/em> website, including paywalls or redirects.
