“#Organized Crime’ Adds Denis Leary in a Recurring Role<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Denis Leary knows a thing or two about playing a New York City first responder and he\u2019s putting it to use in a newly-announced recurring role on NBC\u2018s Law & Order: Organized Crime<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The former Rescue Me<\/em> star has been cast as Frank Donnelly in the spinoff, serving as a fellow member of the NYPD who engages with Christopher Meloni\u2018s Detective Elliot Stabler, according to Deadline<\/em><\/a>. And Leary is just the latest addition following the recent announcement that Jennifer Beals (The L Word: Generation Q<\/em>, The Book of Boba Fett<\/em>) would join the series<\/a> in a recurring role.<\/p>\n

As previously announced, Beals will play the yet-to-be-named wife of Mykelti Williamson\u2018s (Underground<\/em>) Preston Webb, a New York drug kingpin and head of the Marcy Corporation. Williamson\u2019s character was also introduced earlier this season as the main antagonist of the Law & Order<\/em> spinoff series.<\/p>\n

Currently in its second season, Law & Order: Organized Crime<\/em> follows Meloni\u2019s Stabler amid his return to the NYPD after a decade away. Dealing with a personal loss, Stabler works on rebuilding his life and doing the job he\u2019s known so well for.<\/p>\n

This is Leary\u2019s first TV role since Fox\u2018s The Moodys<\/em> and recently app<\/a>eared in Animal Kingdom<\/em> on TNT. Along with Rescue Me<\/em>, Leary\u2019s other TV credits include Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll<\/em>. His first major TV role was in the early 2000s series The Job<\/em>.<\/p>\n

No exact date has been set for Leary\u2019s first appearance as a recurring player, but stay tuned for more details as production continues.<\/p>\n
