But it\u2019s a bit tricky managing your feed so you\u2019re not overwhelmed by all those suggested tweets.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t worry, I\u2019ve got you. In this guide, I\u2019ll take you through all the steps to weed out unwanted topics. The caveat is that it\u2019s a list curated by Twitter, and there\u2019s no way to sort it. Bummer.<\/p>\n<p>Following topics is useful to get updates related to a subject without following a ton of new accounts. Topics will only appear in this part when you see a topic on your timeline and click on the X button to indicate you\u2019re not interested. You can only do it when you\u2019ve unfollowed it, and if a tweet related to it appears on your timeline.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, there\u2019s a difference between unfollowing a topic and moving it to the <em>Not interested<\/em> section. With the former, you might still see some tweets related to the subject, with the latter, you won\u2019t see any of them. And you thought understanding NFTs is tough.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_about_%E2%80%98Interests\"><\/span>What about \u2018Interests\u2019?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When you visit the content settings menu mentioned above, you\u2019ll also see an <em>Interests<\/em> tab next to Topics.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an automatically curated list of things Twitter thinks you\u2019re interested in.
