The Crown<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Emma Corrin<\/a> will be joined by stars from The Knick<\/em><\/a>, Queen of the South<\/em><\/a>, Law & Order: SVU<\/em><\/a>, and more in FX<\/a>\u2018s upcoming mystery series.<\/p>\n

Retreat<\/em><\/a> has added Clive Owen<\/a> (Andy), Harris Dickinson<\/a> (Bill), Alice Braga<\/a> (Sian), Jermaine Fowler<\/a> (Martin), Joan Chen (Lu Mei), Ra\u00fal Esparza<\/a> (David), Edoardo Ballerini (Ray), Pegah Ferydoni (Ziba), Ryan J. Haddad (Oliver), and Javed Khan (Rohan), Deadline<\/em><\/a> reports. Brit Marling (Lee), who co-created the series with Zal Batmanglij, will also star. Their character names are the only details that have been released so far.<\/p>\n

The limited series follows Corrin\u2019s gen Z amateur sleuth, Darby Hart, who, along with 11 other guests, is invited to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location by a reclusive billionaire. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must fight to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.<\/p>\n

When the series was announced in August 2021, FX President of Original Programming, Gina Balian said in a statement, \u201cBrit Marling and Zal Batmanglij have delivered a suspenseful story that updates the classic mystery genre with a bold new character for our times. We are thrilled that Brit and Zal and the rest of the creative team will bring this series to life with their unique points of view and care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marling and Batmanglij will write and direct, as well as executive produce with Andrea Sperling.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
