\nIt sounds like things between Denise Richards<\/strong> and her daughter Sami Sheen<\/strong> are still rocky!<\/p>\n

In case you don\u2019t recall, the 17-year-old was living with the 50-year-old actress until September 2021 when the teenager claimed on TikTok<\/strong> that she was \u201ctrapp<\/a>ed\u201d in an \u201cabusive household\u201d while under her mom\u2019s roof. Sami then shockingly dropped that she moved out of the \u201chell house,\u201d saying at the time:<\/p>\n

\u201cnow: finally moved out of the hell house, had a spiritual awakening, own 2 cats, happy single, full of self love, and dropped out of high school :).\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Her dad Charlie Sheen<\/strong> later confirmed to People<\/em> that his eldest daughter had moved out of Richards\u2019 home and into his, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cSam\u2019s amazing. I love her and all my children unconditionally. We\u2019re having a ball. GED here we come!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile, a source close to the Wild Things<\/em> star denied Sami\u2019s accusations at the time, saying she set \u201cnormal\u201d boundaries like any parent would do and the teen just did not want to follow them at the end of the day. Things then became even messier when a judge ruled back in October that the Two and a Half Men<\/em> actor no longer had to pay child support to Richards \u2013 even though their 16-year-old daughter Lola Sheen<\/strong> still primarily lives with her. A complicated situation, huh!<\/p>\n

Now, the momma gave an update on where she and Sami currently stand months after their public drama. During an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live<\/em> Friday, Richards admitted their relationship has been \u201cstrained\u201d ever since, sharing:<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I have a strained relationship with her. It\u2019s very difficult. I know we\u2019ll get back to where we were eventually but right now, it is strained.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When asked if Richards was happy with the teenager\u2019s current living situation, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em> alum explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously I would love for her to live with me. She lived with me all these years. But I think it\u2019s very difficult raising teenagers now and especially in Los Angeles when there\u2019s access to everything. We didn\u2019t grow up with Postmates and Uber where you have everything that you want. There are certain rules and I enforce them. And [at Sheen\u2019s], there\u2019s different rules at that house and that\u2019s okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She then noted that Sami is still \u201cnot in school,\u201d and that she does not \u201cagree with certain things\u201d Sheen does as a parent, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cBut that\u2019s okay. We can agree to disagree.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And while the former reality star said she\u2019s \u201cnot a strict mom,\u201d she does have \u201crules and boundaries\u201d for her children.<\/p>\n

Oof! Here is hoping that Denise and Sami can mend their relationship soon!<\/p>\n
