{"id":405516,"date":"2022-02-14T03:47:43","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T00:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/hochul-is-brooklyn-dems-pick-for-governor-over-williams-suozzi\/"},"modified":"2022-02-14T03:47:43","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T00:47:43","slug":"hochul-is-brooklyn-dems-pick-for-governor-over-williams-suozzi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/hochul-is-brooklyn-dems-pick-for-governor-over-williams-suozzi\/","title":{"rendered":"#Hochul is Brooklyn Dems&#8217; pick for governor over Williams, Suozzi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Hochul is Brooklyn Dems&#8217; pick for governor over Williams, Suozzi<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The Brooklyn Democratic Party on Sunday formally endorsed Kathy Hochul in the primary race for governor \u2014 solidifying her institutional dominance against rivals Jumaane Williams and Tom Suozzi, party sources said.<\/p>\n<p>The Kings County Democratic Party executive committee delivered 27 votes for Hochul, while seven other members abstained.<\/p>\n<p>Williams, the city public advocate who lost to Hochul in the 2018 Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, was shut out.<\/p>\n<p>But Williams has a base of support \u2014 he has recently been endorsed by the Working Families Party and other lefty groups.<\/p>\n<p>The King County Democratic Party is the largest in the state.<\/p>\n<p>As expected, the executive committee also unanimously backed the re-elections of Sen. Chuck Schumer, state Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Letitia James and Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.
