The right time is now: \u201cAmericans, including those who are especially vulnerable to COVID-19, have the tools to protect themselves regardless of whether everyone else is required to wear a mask.\u201d Kids\u2019 safety is a \u201cred herring\u201d: \u201cChildren are extremely unlikely to suffer life-threatening COVID-19 symptoms even if they are not vaccinated.\u201d Thanks to \u201cvaccines, effective treatments, and high-quality masks,\u201d the case for protecting only the vulnerable, with no broad mandates, is \u201cmore persuasive than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pandemic journal: America\u2019s Cruelty to Kids<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEuropeans are shocked by cruel US child masking rules,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/equality-not-elitism\/europeans-are-shocked-by-cruel-us-child-masking-rules\">reports the Washington Examiner\u2019s Tiana Lowe<\/a>. Or you live in a society that limits your potential \u2014 and its own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the right: Spying on the President<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Special Counsel John Durham\u2019s latest filing suggests a tech executive \u201cwas spying on the president of the United States with the aim of harming his ability to govern the country,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2022\/02\/durhams-jaw-dropping-revelation\/\">thunder National Review\u2019s editors<\/a>. The prosecutor says \u201cthe tech executive, who has been identified as Rodney Joffe, was monitoring then-President Trump, trying to portray him as Putin\u2019s mole\u201d in an op that began during the 2016 campaign. \u201cDurham has now disclosed that he intends to prove that [Clinton lawyer Michael] Sussmann delivered the skewed data to another intelligence agency .\u2009.\u2009. in February 2017\u201d in a bid \u201cto nudge the government\u2019s intelligence and law-enforcement apparatus to spy on the sitting president.\u201d Durham plainly thinks \u201cthe government, particularly the FBI, was duped by such Clinton operatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Climate beat: Africa Can\u2019t Afford To Go Green<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMisguided policies meant to accelerate the transition to green energy\u201d threaten to make Third World poverty permanent,<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/unherd.com\/2022\/02\/green-hypocrisy-hurts-the-poorest\/\"> lament Joel Kotkin &amp; H\u00fcgo Kr\u00fcger at UnHerd<\/a>. But the \u201cimperatives of Greta Thunberg won\u2019t be adopted by people in the slums of Africa\u2019s cities or rural Chinese\u201d seeking prosperity.
