Like any online service, Discord can experience outages. It was back up a bit after 3 pm Eastern time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Check_Discords_Status_Page\"><\/span>Check Discord\u2019s Status Page<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re having trouble connecting to Discord, first check whether the service is experiencing an outage. You can do this using the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/discordstatus.com\">Discord status page<\/a>, which should report any problems. You can also try restarting your computer or mobile device to see if your device\u2019s software was to blame.<\/p>\n<p>The second thing to do is to check for any updates to Discord. Updating Discord\u00a0on Windows or Mac involves closing the app and opening it again, at which point it will check for updates automatically. You can update your DNS server on whatever device you\u2019re having issues with to see if that helps (and you may get faster browsing performance as a nice bonus).<\/p>\n<p>Discord may not work with a proxy server, so disable any proxy server you may be using on Windows, iPhone and iPad, or Android.
