The move was in direct response to fundraising efforts by the COVID-19 policy-focused Freedom Convoy protesters. <\/p>\n<p>The name of the bill &#8216;Keep Your Coins&#8217; is a play on KYC and refers to protections for crypto users from having their own digital assets taken out of their control.<\/p>\n<p>If passed, Davidson\u2019s bill would \u201cprohibit Federal agencies from restricting the use of convertible virtual currency by a person to purchase goods or services for the person\u2019s own use,\u201d and for other purposes such as crypto transactions. <\/p>\n<p>While it <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears that the bill has been put forward during an opportune time as the Canadian government\u2019s action causes uproar, Davidson stated on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> yesterday that the bill has been in the works for six years before it was introduced to the House of Reps. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Our office will be introducing legislation in the US House of Representatives shortly to protect Americans from this version of overt theft.<\/p>\n<p>Please let your Member of Congress and Senators know\u2026 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UbNdcj8ZZ4\">https:\/\/t.co\/UbNdcj8ZZ4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Warren Davidson (@WarrenDavidson) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WarrenDavidson\/status\/1493561840953171969?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nIt is unclear how much support the bill will get from the Democrats however, as they have <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly been more in favor of clamping down on crypto and blockchain tech: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBeen working on that since 2016.
