\nToronto, Canada \u2013 <\/span> Toronto rapper Top5 was on the run from authorities after he was accused of killing Hashim Omar Hashi in January 2021, but Toronto law enforcement finally got a hold of him. According to a report from CTV News<\/em><\/a>, Top5 was released by American officials and is currently in custody with Toronto police where he is being charged with first-degree murder.<\/p>\n

The United States District Court for the Central District of California say Top5 identified as \u201ca fugitive from the Government of Canada\u201d and signed an affidavit of consent to extradition to his home country on December 9, 2021. Top, whose real name is Hassan Abdibarik Ali, had been living it up in Los Angeles, California, promoting his new music after posting bail and cutting off an ankle monitor.<\/p>\n
