“#Channing Tatum Says Being In Magic Mike Shape Isn’t Actually Healthy

\nEven\u00a0Channing Tatum<\/strong> thinks it\u2019s too hard to look like Channing Tatum!<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Dog<\/em> star (and first-time co-director) stopped by\u00a0The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em> last week to talk about his new movie, but Kelly Clarkson<\/strong> had to ask about\u00a0Magic Mike 3<\/em>!<\/p>\n

The trilogy ender, which is disapp<\/a>ointingly named\u00a0Magic Mike\u2019s Last Dance<\/em> and not\u00a0Magic Mike XXX<\/em>, was announced last November, and even though filming hasn\u2019t even begun it\u2019s obviously on the host\u2019s mind!<\/p>\n

The\u00a0American Idol<\/em> alum put up a photo of Channing\u2019s trademark abs from the film while asking about it, to which he responded:<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no, don\u2019t put that up. Trust me, that might be the reason I didn\u2019t want to do a third one. Because I have to look like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kelly was surprised. After all, doesn\u2019t Channing work out regularly even when he isn\u2019t playing a strip<\/a>per? Sure, but that\u2019s a whole other level even for him! He explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to look like, even if you do work out, to be that<\/em> kind of in shape, it\u2019s not natural.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When Kelly asked if the problem was having to eat \u201cso well\u201d the 41-year-old former dancer took issue with the word \u201cwell,\u201d countering:<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not even healthy. You have to starve yourself. I don\u2019t think when you\u2019re that lean, it\u2019s actually healthy for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Wow. Straight from someone who would know, someone who\u2019s doing it. For us, the fans. It\u2019s \u201chell.\u201d He continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cTruly, I don\u2019t know how people who work a 9 to 5 actually stay in shape because it\u2019s my full-time job, and I can barely do it. You have to work out twice a day, you have to eat completely right at a certain time, it is, it\u2019s a specific thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He added that his weight \u201cfluctuates\u201d a lot \u2014 and it\u2019s not nearly as easy these days to get back into that stripper shape. And much, much easier to get back out of it again, as he complained:<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd why, when it takes like, I don\u2019t know, two months to get really lean, but in like three days you can lose it. It\u2019s gone! I\u2019m like\u2026 what happened? It\u2019s the weekend!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The thing Channing misses the most on his super strict stripper bod diet? It might not be what you think. It\u2019s salt!<\/p>\n

He says the closer you get to the day you have to be \u201cbutt naked\u201d onscreen, you are afforded less and less salt in the diet, and everything you eat is so bland it \u201ctastes like water.\u201d Ouch!\n<\/p><\/div>\n
