\n Tencent acquires Inflexion Game<\/a>s <\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Tencent has acquired Inflexion Games from Improbable, the companies announced. <\/p>\n

Improbable sold the entirety of its stake in Inflexion Games to Tencent, the details of which were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Inflexion Games is headquartered in Edmonton, Canada, where CEO Aaryn Flynn will continue to lead operations as the studio develops its shared-world survival crafting game Nightingale<\/em>, which will now join the lineup of games published by Tencent label Level Infinite when it launches in Early Access for PC later in 2022.<\/p>\n


\n \u201cAs announced at the end of January, and while we focus our efforts on accelerating in the metaverse, we want to make sure that the games developed by our internal studios benefit from the support of publishers with leading track records of bringing games to market,\u201d said Improbable CEO Herman Narula in a press release. \u201cSo we couldn\u2019t have hoped to have found a better partner than Tencent for Inflexion Games and for Nightingale<\/em>. We look forward to our continued collaboration with Aaryn and the Inflexion Games team as they explore potential use of our technology<\/a> offerings for Nightingale<\/em> and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tencent Games Global vice president of partnerships Pete Smith added, \u201cThe highly talented team at Inflexion Games has a proven track record of developing engaging universes that combine compelling action with great gameplay. The initial reaction to Nightingale<\/em> has been incredibly positive and we look forward to supporting Inflexion in realizing its vision for this and future titles.\u201d<\/p>\n
