{"id":408780,"date":"2022-02-23T06:31:48","date_gmt":"2022-02-23T03:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/washington-dc-issues-alert-as-it-braces-for-trucker-protest\/"},"modified":"2022-02-23T06:31:48","modified_gmt":"2022-02-23T03:31:48","slug":"washington-dc-issues-alert-as-it-braces-for-trucker-protest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/washington-dc-issues-alert-as-it-braces-for-trucker-protest\/","title":{"rendered":"#Washington DC issues alert as it braces for trucker protest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Washington DC issues alert as it braces for trucker protest<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Washington DC issued an alert Tuesday as officials brace for an expected caravan of trucks arriving in the nation\u2019s capital to emulate the anti-mandate trucker protests in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMayor [Muriel] Bowser is being briefed by public safety officials as we continue to monitor the situation closely, and our agencies remain in regular contact with their local, regional and federal partners,\u201d the alert said, according to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LindsayAWatts\/status\/1496292833791291393\">screenshot<\/a> posted by Fox DC reporter Lindsay Watts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLayered mitigation measures are being put in place, including some that will be visible to the public and others that are not,\u201d the alert states. \u201cWe <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciate the approval of our DC National Guard traffic support request as we pull together the resources to support out public safety personnel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several different convoys of trucks are expected from across the country to be headed to the city but it isn\u2019t clear how large the turnout will be, or when the protesters will arrive. Organizer Bob Bolus <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5dc.com\/news\/trucker-convoys-aim-to-shut-dcs-capital-beltway-this-week-organizer-says\">told Fox 5 DC<\/a> he plans to leave Scranton, Pa.
