The <em>Bandana<\/em> rapper once recalled seeing Michael Jackson as a kid when the King of Pop visited their hometown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaw that n-gga Mike one time in my life in person,\u201d he told <em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/49702-watch-freddie-gibbs-remembers-michael-jacksons-return-to-gary-indiana-on-pitchforktvs-frames\/\">Pitchfork<\/a><\/em> in 2013. \u201cYou woulda thought Jesus came back. N-gga went to speak at this big, stupid-ass baseball stadium we got in Gary. This n-gga Mike walked around Gary in his pyjamas with, like, a Cap\u2019n Crunch suit on. His shit was laid, his perm was laid out, he was good!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat muthafucka Mike came through and went to KFC, dawg. Mike bought all the muthafucking honey BBQ wings. Everybody loved Mike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Freddie Gibbs - &quot;Michael Jackson&#039;s return to Gary, IN&quot; - FRAMES\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yyyAXudadrQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As for <em>SSS<\/em>, Freddie Gibbs has released a handful of potential singles from the album so far including \u201cBlack Illuminati\u201d featuring Jadakiss, \u201cGang Signs\u201d co-starring ScHoolboy Q and the Nas-sampling \u201cBig Boss Rabbit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Behind the boards, Gangsta Gibbs has assembled a lineup of all-star producers including Pharrell, Boi-1da, Tay Keith, Jake One and Three 6 Mafia\u2019s DJ Paul, as well as his <em>Pi\u00f1ata\/Bandana<\/em> compadre Madlib and fellow <em>Alfredo<\/em> Grammy nominee The Alchemist.<\/p>\n<p>A release date has yet to be announced, but Gibbs has promised it will make a splash when it does eventually arrive. \u201cThis is probably going to be the best album I did,\u201d he told <em>Complex<\/em> last year. \u201cI leveled up on his album. It\u2019s going to be more features.
