The Baby<\/i> is coming to HBO in April. Starring Michelle de Swarte, Amira Ghazalla, and Amber Grapp<\/a>y, the horror-comedy series follows a woman who has her life turned into a surreal horror show when a baby arrives in her life. The cast also includes Patrice Naiambana, Sin\u00e9ad Cusack, Shvorne Marks, Isy Suttie, Tanya Reynolds, Seyan Sarvan, Karl Davies, and Divian Ladwa. Eight episodes have been ordered.<\/p>\n

HBO revealed more about the series in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe HBO original eight-episode limited series THE BABY<\/i>, from creators Si\u00e2n Robins-Grace and Lucy Gaymer, debuts on SUNDAY, APRIL 24 (10:30-11:00 p.m. ET\/PT)<\/b> on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. A horror comedy co-production with SKY, and produced by SISTER and Proverbial Pictures, THE BABY<\/i> presents a darkly funny, raw examination of motherhood, from the perspective of a woman who doesn\u2019t want to be one.<\/p>\n

Michelle De Swarte (The Duchess<\/i>) stars as 38-year-old Natasha, who is furious that her closest friends are all having babies. But when she is unexpectedly landed with a baby of her own, her life dramatically implodes. Controlling, manipulative, but incredibly cute, the baby twists Natasha\u2019s life into a surreal horror show. As she discovers the true extent of the baby\u2019s deadly nature, Natasha makes increasingly desperate attempts to get rid of it. She doesn\u2019t want a baby. But the baby definitely wants her.<\/p>\n

The series also stars Amira Ghazalla (The Rhythm Section<\/i>) as Mrs. Eaves, the 70-year-old enigma who has spent the last fifty years living out of her car and seems to be everywhere the Baby is, and Amber Grappy as Bobbi, Natasha\u2019s younger sister, a children\u2019s magician who would love nothing more than to be a parent, to give love and to receive it.<\/p>\n

Additional cast includes Patrice Naiambana (Spectre<\/i>) as Natasha\u2019s father Lyle, Sin\u00e9ad Cusack (Marcella<\/i>) as her mother Barbara. Shvorne Marks (Endeavour<\/i>) as Mags, Isy Suttie (Peep Show<\/i>) as Rita, Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education<\/i>) as Helen, Seyan Sarvan (HBO Max\u2019s It\u2019s a Sin<\/i>) as Nour, Karl Davies (The Tower<\/i>) as Jack, and Divian Ladwa (Ant-Man and the Wasp<\/i>) as Fooze.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
