For 10 years, a 65-year-old Belgian man has been tormented by a constant stream of pizza deliveries he didn\u2019t order.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cannot sleep anymore. I start shaking every time I hear a scooter on the street,\u201d Jean Van Landeghem tells Het Laatste Nieuws. \u201cI dread that someone will come to drop off hot pizzas yet another time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Van Landeghem, a resident of Turnhout, initially thought a forgetful pizza-lover was accidentally ordering them to the wrong address.<\/p>\n

But after years of being inundated with unwanted pies, he realized something more sinister was afoot \u2014 such a constant miscommunication was surely evidence that someone wanted to take out his mind, he says. But to this day, the mystery remains unsolved.<\/p>\n

The pizzas come for Van Landeghem night and day, he tells the Dutch outlet of his \u201cpizza terror.\u201d Other fast food, including kebabs, has also arrived unordered on his doorstep.<\/p>\n

In January 2019, the pizzademic reached a peak when 10 delivery drivers were called to his home, one bearing 14 pizzas, the Independent writes.<\/p>\n

While emotionally exhausting, the ordeal has at least not been financially draining: Van Landeghem does not pay for the pizzas, instead refusing them and explaining he did not place an order for them. Still, the situation is aggravating for both Van Landeghem and the restaurants delivering the unwanted pies.<\/p>\n

At least he is not alone in being cursed by a constant flood of unasked for Italian food. One of Van Landeghem\u2019s friends in the nearby city of Herenthout has also been hexed with pizza deliveries for the past decade. He too receives frequent pies despite not ordering them.<\/p>\n

The police are aware of the situation. Both law enforcement and the two victims believe the cheesy culprit is someone they both know, and hope to one day unveil them. When they do, Van Landeghem says, it \u201cwill not be their best day.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
