Ukraine, the payment-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> companies said Saturday. <\/p>\n<p> Visa<br \/>\n        V,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203660239\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-3.35%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       announced that it was working with its partners in Russia to \u201ccease all transactions\u201d in the days to come. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       \u201cOnce complete, all transactions initiated with Visa cards issued in Russia will no longer work outside the country and any Visa cards issued by financial institutions outside of Russia will no longer work within the Russian Federation,\u201d the company said in a release. <\/p>\n<p>Beginning in 2015, the Russia government said domestic transactions in the Russian Federation had to be processed in the country and through a state-owned processor. <\/p>\n<p>Russia made moves in recent years \u201cto insulate domestic card volumes from potential sanctions,\u201d  Barclays analyst Ramsey El-Assal wrote in a Feb. 28 note to clients, given the impact of U.S. sanctions on payment cards in Russia back in 2014. <\/p>\n<p>Separately, Mastercard<br \/>\n        MA,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207581792\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-3.00%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       also said it would suspend its network services in Russia. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this action, cards issued by Russian banks will no longer be supported by the Mastercard network,\u201d the company said. \u201cAnd, any Mastercard issued outside of the country will not work at Russian merchants or ATMs.\u202f\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t take this decision lightly,\u201d Mastercard said in a statement, adding that it made the move after discussions with customers, partners and governments.<\/p>\n<p>Mastercard noted that it has operated in Russia for more than 25 years and has almost 200 \u201ccolleagues\u201d in the country. The company will continue to provide pay and benefits to those workers, and if it ultimately becomes \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate\u201d and \u201cpermissible,\u201d Mastercard \u201cwill use their passion and creativity to work to restore operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mastercard said earlier this week that about 4% of its revenue in its latest fiscal year was related to Russia, while about 2% was related to Ukraine.
