every type of listing imaginable \u2014 until they were tasked with the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.compass.com\/listing\/1019-bushwick-avenue-brooklyn-ny-11221\/992806482444537873\/\">sale of 1019 Bushwick Avenue.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stepping into the Brooklyn mansion, which was built in 1900 and just hit the market for $2.7 million, was like slipping through a portal back in time, the agents told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>A dazzling array of relics filled the more than 4,000-square-foot home\u2019s lush interior \u2014 from ancient television sets and classical busts to century-old stoves and dolls. <\/p>\n<p>The home, the agents said, looked less like a residence than a staging area for a Bushwick edition of PBS\u2019s \u201cAntique Roadshow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe house feels like it\u2019s out of a history book,\u201d said Fields, the listing agent with successfully repelled a century\u2019s worth of design trends.<\/p>\n<p>Fields said much of that consistency stemmed from the fact that home has been kept in the same family since 1937.<\/p>\n<p>A recent tour revealed treasures in every direction. A rare, first-edition copy of Betty Smith\u2019s \u201cA Tree Grows in Brooklyn\u201d from 1943 hid in a stack of old children\u2019s books. A row of valuable vintage dolls \u2014 including characters like Pinocchio and Snow White \u2014 stared out from atop a high shelf in another room. A housecleaning schedule \u2014 nearly a century old \u2014 remained affixed to the inside a closet door. Tuesdays, it decreed, were reserved for a thorough cleaning of the \u201cmusic room, sun parlor, and hall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A rear portion of the home had once been used as a doctor\u2019s office, the agents said.
