And it uses every opportunity to incorporate period-<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate details.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s everything you need to know about how <em>The Courtship <\/em>works and what happened in the dramatic fairytale of a series premiere.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7MEY9s1a2U4\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7MEY9s1a2U4<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_The_Courtship_works\"><\/span>How <em>The Courtship<\/em> works<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The Courtship <\/em>is hosted and narrated by Rick Edwards \u2014 an English TV presenter, journalist, and author. He\u2019s the go-to source for Regency-era etiquette and all things <em>The Courtship<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine R\u00e9my as the daughter of a noble family who are eager to see her happily married. Imagine her suitors as noblemen like <em>Bridgerton<\/em>\u2018s Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings. (OK, maybe not exactly like him. Not everyone can be Reg\u00e9-Jean Page.)<\/p>\n<p>The episode starts off with R\u00e9my and her court arriving to Castle Howard in North Yorkshire, England. (Yes, it looks very similar to Mr. Darcy\u2019s Pemberley in both the 2005 and BBC adaptations of <em>Pride &amp; Prejudice<\/em>.) In R\u00e9my\u2019s court are her parents, Dr. Claire Spain-R\u00e9my and Claude R\u00e9my, her sister, Danie Baker, and her best friend, Tessa Cleary.<\/p>\n<p>The court is <em>The Courtship<\/em>\u2018s most unique feature. Unlike other dating shows, where contestants meet the family near the end of the competition, R\u00e9my\u2019s court is involved from day one. And they play an active role in R\u00e9my\u2019s quest for love. Rather than be isolated from her family and friends, R\u00e9my gets to have them by her side \u2014 occasionally choosing her date companions \u2014 while being courted.<\/p>\n<p>Every week, R\u00e9my and the suitors will take part in Regency-era activities: balls, archery, picturesque boat rides, the works. And every week, R\u00e9my will send suitors home until there\u2019s one man standing. Oh, and everyone is referred to as \u201cMs. R\u00e9my,\u201d Ms. Clearly,\u201d etc. Because we\u2019re proper in this castle.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Letters_from_Suitors\"><\/span>Letters from Suitors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After the show\u2019s format was explained, it was time to read the letters from the suitors. R\u00e9my gathered her court in one of the drawing rooms of Castle Howard to read the handwritten notes from the 16 eligible bachelors. In true commitment to the cause, the series made every suitor take calligraphy lessons (though it seems some of the lessons didn\u2019t take\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>Christian Lee Cones\u2019 letter stood out the most to R\u00e9my and her family. Mainly for its emotional, heartfelt content, but also for the romantic (read: hot) addition of him scenting the page with his cologne and telling R\u00e9my to search for the scent during the ball so they could meet.<\/p>\n<p>Another letter stood out, but not for more awkward reasons. The suitors arrived via horse-drawn carriage and greeted Edwards at the entrance. There is no shortage of awkward first-meeting gimmicks like in <em>The Bachelorette<\/em> in this section. Luckily for these men, R\u00e9my wasn\u2019t present.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_First_Ball\"><\/span>The First Ball<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>And now, for the main event. The first ball of the season began with the suitors and court mingling in the ballroom. This was the suitors\u2019 first chance to make a good first impression with Team R\u00e9my. Some of the standout sweethearts are Cones, Lewis Echavarria, and Daniel Bochicchio. Entering the ballroom in a beautiful red gown, large sparkling stars clipped into her hair, R\u00e9my greeted her suitors for the very first time. And they all swooned.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00e9my had good first interactions with lots of the suitors, but the first bachelor she didn\u2019t get a good vibe from was Caleb Ward. She felt he diverted conversation back to himself too often.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"First_Dates\"><\/span>First Dates<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Throughout the mingling and drinks and dancing, the inevitable occurs: the \u201ccan I steal her for a secs.\u201d (We all knew this was coming.) One by one, the men tried to get solo time with R\u00e9my, and not everyone was successful.<\/p>\n<p>Halfway through the ball, it was already time for the first group date. But plot twist: the court chose the six men. And then off they went into a drawing room, where R\u00e9my teased Kim about the sexual tension comment. In the ballroom, R\u00e9my\u2019s parents assured the remaining men that just because they weren\u2019t selected for the first group date, doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t like them.<\/p>\n<p>More dancing commenced when the heroine and six suitors returned to the ballroom. And then, it was time for R\u00e9my to choose the first suitor to receive a one-on-one date. Her choice: Mr. Bochicchio, a 31-year-old New York real estate agent.<\/p>\n<p>They settled down on a chaise in front of a glorious fountain outside of the castle entrance. And the chemistry? It was felt! R\u00e9my and Bochicchio had their first kiss under a blanket of fireworks. In a very \u201clip-sync for your life\u201d moment, R\u00e9my filled her dance card (literally) with the names of six suitors she wasn\u2019t sure about. They get one last dance with the heroine to convince her to let them stay. Of those six, three will be sent home.<\/p>\n<p>Echavarria, Chandler Luxe, Kim, Peter Saffa, Ward, and Schanzer were on the chopping block. While they danced, R\u00e9my explained her reasoning for adding them to her dance card. Her biggest concerns were lack of chemistry, doubting intentions, and lack of emotional vulnerability. She stressed how little time they have to build a relationship on the show.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the court hoped Luxe would stay. Luckily for them, he was able to convince R\u00e9my to give him another chance. Kim also got to stay. Ward was the first person eliminated. A beautiful, heartfelt, plea from Echavarria wasn\u2019t enough to keep him safe. R\u00e9my cried as she told him she didn\u2019t feel enough of an attraction to keep him there, despite his genuinely sweet nature.<\/p>\n<p>Saffa and Schanzer were left. Saffa gave close to no emotional honesty when asking to stay. His lack of vulnerability is noteworthy. Plus, he\u2019s one of the youngest in the group and it shows. Schanzer made a grand gesture by quoting Austen and gifting R\u00e9my with a rose quartz necklace in a wooden jewelry box to \u201copen up her love chakra.\u201d (Honestly, it was cringe.)<\/p>\n<p>But R\u00e9my was steadfast in her feelings that the doctor\u2019s humor crossed the line into unattractive cockiness. His response to R\u00e9my\u2019s difficult, but kind rejection was to challenge her and get defensive. Not a cute look. His attitude, unsurprisingly, did not save him. Schanzer was sent home confused, but viewers probably aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Courtship<\/em>\u2018s farewell is \u201cyour carriage awaits.\u201d The drama of it all.<\/p>\n<p>There are 13 suitors left.
