available in your devices by summer.<\/p>\n<p>This will also help companies design smaller and thinner phones after devices ballooned in size to fit in giant batteries.<\/p>\n<p>The new technology, which allows\u00a0rapid charging\u00a0without causing damage to batteries, was showcased at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week.<\/p>\n<p>It comes from Chinese phone maker Oppo, which is the fourth biggest firm globally and has been growing rapidly in the UK along with its sub-brands OnePlus, Realme and Vivo.<\/p>\n<p>Experts say <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le and Samsung are already working on replicating the feat since\u00a0fast charging\u00a0and\u00a0long battery life\u00a0is a key selling point for mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Miles, founder of tech website Pocket-Lint.co.uk,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10582131\/New-technology-handsets-just-nine-minutes-fully-charge.html\">told the MailOnline<\/a>: \u201cBattery life is really important for many users but improvements in efficiency are slower than most of us would like.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo companies are saying if you cannot make it last longer, let\u2019s make it charge quicker.<\/p>\n<figure batteries smaller, allowing slimmer and lighter phones.<\/p>\n<p>He said iPhone has become more and more heavy over the years due to the growing size of its battery.<\/p>\n<figure means smaller batteries \u2013 after all, if you can fill them up in a matter of minutes then you don\u2019t need a giant one,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, many people want a big screen and so phones have to be big to accommodate that \u2013 but they don\u2019t need to be so thick and heavy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Mobile World Congress last week, Oppo demonstrated its SuperVooc charging tech using 240 watts of power, with a video showing a 4,500mAh battery going from one percent to 100 percent in nine minutes.<\/p>\n<p>A 150-watt version will charge a phone in 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Most phones, including iPhones and Samsungs, can only take in ten to 30 watts because too much power can cause\u00a0batteries to overheat\u00a0and damage devices.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung had to recall millions of phones in 2016 due to overheating batteries \u2013 with some even bursting into flames after getting too hot.<\/p>\n<p>Oppo\u2019s new technology has been in development Oppo\u2019s UK product manager, said: \u201cIt\u2019s not just about speed \u2013 it is also about doing it in a way that is safe for our customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor example, if you just try to put more power into a battery without the relevant safeguards, it may cause longer-term battery damage that causes it to degrade quicker over time. We test and test to avoid that.<\/p>\n<p>He says that the new versions of SuperVooc have 13 temperature sensors installed in the phone to monitor the charging status in real-time, which reduces the chances of overheating.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf someone is keeping a phone for two or three years, they need to know the battery will last. A good battery will retain 80 per cent of its capacity after 800 charges.
