Whaaat?<\/p>\n<p>While promoting her new <strong>NBC<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> <em>The Thing About Pam<\/em>, Ren\u00e9e <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared on the <em>Today<\/em> show Monday morning to chat with <strong>Hoda Kotb<\/strong> and <strong>Savannah Guthrie<\/strong>. During the conversation, she let slip that she attended law classes while taking a break from the industry from 2010 to 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Ren\u00e9e Zellweger &amp; Ant Anstead Are SOULMATES Already?!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Opening up about her reason to step away from the spotlight, the 52-year-old recalled:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI needed to step away and kind of grow as a person and learn some things that were not related to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Learning new things is part of the reason she loves her profession, she added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI mean, that\u2019s one of my favorite things about the work, is that you have an opportunity to learn things that you wouldn\u2019t otherwise have occasion to explore. Went to school and just, you know, took some time out and decided I wanted to maybe participate in a different way.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So cool! Clarifying what her return to school was like, Zellweger continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI snuck into <strong>UCLA<\/strong> for a little while and did some public policy. International law. Interested in politics.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hoda and Savannah were SHOCKED to learn of this, leading Kotb to probe:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIs this toward an end goal, or just something you wanted to do in the interim?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sounds like anything is possible at this point, the <em>Bridget Jones\u2019s Diary<\/em> alum shared:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure. But it\u2019s one of my favorite things. I\u2019ll bore you to death at a dinner party, I really will. Just don\u2019t get me started. Seems like there might be an influx of A-listers hitting the political scene soon \u2014 thank goodness these ones are actually putting in the time to study before taking charge unlike you know who! In 2019, she told <em>New York Magazine<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t taking care of myself. I was the last thing on my list of priorities.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She started working with a therapist at that time who encouraged her to build a private life outside of the spotlight, she explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHe recognized that I spent 99 percent of my life as the public persona and just a microscopic crumb of a fraction in my real life. I needed to not have something to do all the time, to not know what I\u2019m going to be doing for the next two years in advance. I wanted to allow for some accidents. There had to be some quiet for the ideas to slip in.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Just like being a student again, there\u2019s apparently a lot that happened that fans will never know about! She teased:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI had a good five-year period when I was joyful and in a new chapter that no one was even aware of. Six years. It was important, that time. It\u2019s a quieter life, and I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Great for her!
