Earlier this week, La Flame launched Project HEAL, a long-term program dedicated to community-based philanthropic efforts aimed at helping the youth.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the initiative, Travis Scott has pledged $1 million in scholarships to students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Applicants are required to submit a two-minute video or a 500-word personal essay and a photo, which they can submit at the official <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cactusjack.foundation\/\">Cactus Jack Foundation website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want students to know they can accomplish anything they set their mind to and that in a moment of financial uncertainty, we are here to help,\u201d Travis Scott said in a statement. \u201cI hope these scholarships will free them up to be as innovative and creative as they can be as they conclude one chapter of their lives and begin another. Money should not be a barrier for students to dream big.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second year in a row Travis Scott\u2019s Cactus Jack Foundation has assisted HBCU students in need.
