The allegations, which date back to 2013, followed his 2018 arrest on charges of forcible rape, unlawful intercourse with a minor and other felonies related to 11 alleged victims in Los Angeles County. Walker subsequently pleaded not guilty and the trial began this month.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday (March 8), prosecutors told a Los Angeles County courtroom Walker was a \u201cdigital age\u201d\u00a0serial rapist who used the \u201clittle blue checkmark\u201d on his social media accounts to \u201chunt\u201d for aspiring models and artists online, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/superfly-actor-rapper-kaalan-walker-rape-trial-los-angeles-1318224\/\"><em>Rolling Stone.<\/em>\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Walker\u2019s attorney argued, \u201cThe [alleged victims] are going to lie to you because they know that they fell for his B.S.,\u201d the defense lawyer told jurors, claiming the alleged victims were out for \u201crevenge.\u201d They added, \u201cThe pattern of Mr. Walker is to make false promises and they bought it. \u2026 Each one of these women voluntarily made their own decisions. He didn\u2019t force them. \u2026 It\u2019s pay-back to Mr. Walker and we\u2019re not going to let that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DdHPwSfA2oM\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DdHPwSfA2oM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deputy District Attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi said there were over a\u00a0dozen women who didn\u2019t know each other, and the \u201csingle thing that unites all of these woman is the defendant Kaalan Walker.\u201d She also detailed allegations made by 10 of the alleged victims without any mention of the 11th one, as well as a \u201cstrikingly similar\u201d allegations made by a teenager and two other women.<\/p>\n<p>Fardghassemi said Walker primarily used Instagram and Twitter to lure the women to locations with the promise of introducing them to someone famous or shooting a music video. She then\u00a0described a 2014 rape of an intoxicated 19-year-old in a club parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s in and out,\u201d she told the jurors. \u201cShe\u2019s drunk. She doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s going on. He penetrates her from behind without her consent. He rapes her as she\u2019s in and out.
