Even in a truly bizarre interview, this quote stands out as the least self-aware.<\/p>\n<p>In case you hadn\u2019t read her wild <em>Vanity Fair<\/em> profile, <strong>Grimes<\/strong> revealed she had a secret baby, tried to explain the name <strong>Exa Dark Sider\u00e6l<\/strong>, and touted her great, progressive, sophisticated, fluid relationship with <strong>Elon Musk<\/strong> \u2014 never realizing she was describing the textbook definition of hookup buddies. (They broke up before the piece even came out, btw.)<\/p>\n<p>But as far as sound bites, nothing could sink to the level of describing Elon\u2019s lifestyle as \u201cbelow the poverty line.\u201d The singer was detailing what an unusual billionaire her baby daddy was, telling the mag he \u201cwouldn\u2019t even get a new mattress\u201d when her side had a hole in it. The way she puts it, he\u2019s<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBro does not live like a billionaire. Bro lives at times below the poverty line. To the point where I was like, can we not live in a very insecure $40,000 house? He vowed not to own a home and sold all his mansions to other billionaires for a combined $130 million. He reportedly was living in a prefab, 375-square-foot <strong>Boxabl<\/strong> Casita, something between a suburban model home and the indentured servant cells from <em>Sorry To Bother You<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Learn More About BOXABL - 5 Minute Pitch\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qVV6CyGJgZo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But if it\u2019s true he was really living that way, it wasn\u2019t real. It was for sport. To prove something. It\u2019s not like he gave all that revenue from the mansion sales to charity or to help the unhoused masses in Los Angeles. He wasn\u2019t being some champion of the everyman here. No, he was just playing \u201chouse\u201d \u2014 or \u201clittle house\u201d we guess \u2014 with Grimes for bragging rights on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>And it was far from real life. After all, we\u2019re talking about a man with seven children, who we\u2019re sure are all being taken care of \u2014 just not in his tiny house. He never actually had any money worries \u2014 at any time if he had to be somewhere he could take a private jet, if he had a medical emergency he\u2019d get the best care money can buy. Surely Grimes must know that, having just had a child with him.<\/p>\n<p>No. This isn\u2019t poverty.
