Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>licants for their scores on an IQ test \u2014 even though hiring based on IQ is legally questionable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco-based Soma Capital, which has invested in startups including self-driving car company Cruise and defunct <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> app HouseParty, posted a job listing for a \u201cMulti-Stage Investor Role\u201d earlier this month. <\/p>\n<p>The listing required applicants to go to a website called iqtest.com, take a free test and include their score.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Applicants were also told to take a Myers-Briggs personality test on a website called 16personalities.com and share their personality type, which includes categories such as \u201cextraversion\u201d versus \u201cintroversion\u201d and \u201csensing\u201d versus \u201cintuition.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAttach your test score and personality test results\u2019 screenshots here,\u201d Soma Capital\u2019s listing prompted.\u00a0The questions were mandatory.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/soma-capital-asks-applicants-for-iq-01.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1024\" alt=\"Soma Capital\" class=\"wp-image-21530591\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/soma-capital-asks-applicants-for-iq-01.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/soma-capital-asks-applicants-for-iq-01.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/soma-capital-asks-applicants-for-iq-01.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Soma Capital asked job applicants to take an IQ test. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But after screenshots of the job listing circulated on Twitter on Monday, Soma Capital removed the questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a phone call with The Post, Soma Capital\u2019s managing partner Aneel Ranadive blamed the job listing on an intern.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically I just saw this post that an intern put up,\u201d Ranadive, who\u2019s the son of Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive, told The Post. \u201cI was horrified to see that.
