The European Commission is looking for blockchain regulatory sandbox operator &#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.cointelegraph.com\/images\/840_aHR0cHM6Ly9zMy5jb2ludGVsZWdyYXBoLmNvbS91cGxvYWRzLzIwMjItMDMvMjk0YTE0YjQtYTk1Ny00OTdmLWIwOGItNWRmMjJhMmE4YjA5LmpwZw==.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-128018ef>On Monday, March 14, the European Blockchain Observatory <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eublockchainforum.eu\/news\/regulatory-sandbox-blockchain-and-legal-advice-ebsi-production-phase\">announced<\/a> a call for tenders to contract a consortium, the mission of which would be to facilitate and operate a pan-European regulatory sandbox for distributed ledger technologies, or DLT, and blockchain, in particular.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A major task for the future consortium will be to provide \u201ccomprehensive legal advice\u201d concerning the operation of the core services of the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI). <\/p>\n<p>The regulatory sandbox is envisaged as a space where regulators, blockchain enterprises and users will interact \u201cin a trusted environment.\u201d In addition to already existing EBSI projects, it will host a broad range of prospective blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications across key industry sectors, with a necessary condition for such projects to complete a proof of concept. <\/p>\n<p>As the release goes, the ultimate goal of the sandbox is \u201cto foster a dialogue between national and EU-level regulators and lawmakers with companies and thus remove legal uncertainties for use cases based on decentralized solutions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The plans to create a regulatory sandbox for blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> were announced by the European Commission and the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP) back in 2020. <\/p>\n<p>According to the release, four EBSI-hosted use cases are already at an advanced development stage, with three additional use cases recently selected for deployment. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EUBlockchain\/status\/1504034746925527041\">comes<\/a> along with an announcement of the European Blockchain Observatory working on a revised version of the report on the latest developments in the EU blockchain ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"law_decoded\"><\/template><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
