Then, deep in the piece, in passing, it notes<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/16\/us\/politics\/hunter-biden-tax-bill-investigation.html\"> that Hunter\u2019s laptop is legitimate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity,\u201d The Times writes. \u201cThose emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Authenticated!!! You don\u2019t say. You mean, when a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>paper actually does reporting on a topic and doesn\u2019t just try to whitewash coverage for Joe Biden, it discovers it\u2019s <em>actually true<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>But wait, it doesn\u2019t end there. In October 2020, The Times <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/10\/22\/us\/politics\/hunter-biden-laptop.html\">cast doubt that there was a meeting between Joe BIden and an official from Burisma<\/a>, the Ukrainian gas company for which Hunter was a board member.\u00a0 \u201cA Biden campaign spokesman said Mr. Biden\u2019s official schedules did not show a meeting between the two men,\u201d The Times wrote, acting as a perfect stenographer.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Yet in the latest report, published Wednesday night, The Times said the meeting likely <em>did<\/em> happen. Biden had attended the dinner in question. Funny how this works when you don\u2019t just take someone\u2019s word for it.<\/p>\n<p>In the heat of the presidential race of 2020, The Times never missed a chance to cast doubt on the laptop, saying the information was \u201cpurported\u201d and quoting a letter from former Democratic officials who claimed \u2014 with no evidence \u2014 that it was Russian disinformation. As recently as September 2021, The Times called the laptop \u201cunsubstantiated\u201d in a news story.<\/p>\n<p>Why was it unsubstantiated? Because of willful ignorance and The Times curious lack of curiosity. Hunter\u2019s business partner Tony Bobulinski came forward im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely after The Post\u2019s reports and confirmed that the emails bearing his name were legitimate. The Bidens didn\u2019t even deny it was true! They just deflected, with the media\u2019s help, saying it was a dirty trick or not a story. And they find that hey, Hunter Biden\u2019s business interests benefited from Joe Biden\u2019s political status to a\u00a0suspicious degree. Perhaps this is a topic worthy of examination.<\/p>\n<p>How did The Times \u201cauthenticate\u201d the laptop? It doesn\u2019t say. Unlike The Post\u2019s reporting, which detailed exactly how we got the files and where they came from, The Times does a hand wave to anonymous sources. No facts have changed since fall 2020. They knew the laptop was real from the start. They just didn\u2019t want to say so.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s never any shame with these 180s. Sorry that we wrote a \u201cfact check\u201d that turned out to be bull! The company\u2019s CEO apologized, but by that point they had accomplished what they wanted. Like The Times, they cast enough doubt to avoid making their preferred candidate look bad.<\/p>\n<p>Readers of The Times have discovered in March 2022 that Hunter Biden pursued business deals in Europe and Asia, and may have leveraged his father\u2019s position as vice president to do it. Hunter also may not have properly registered with the government nor declared all his income. All legitimate topics of discussion about a presidential candidate\u2019s family, no?<\/p>\n<p>Readers of The Post have known this since October 2020. We also have a much better sports section.
