Since then, it has undergone major revisions \u2014 the original WSL didn\u2019t run a true Linux kernel, it didn\u2019t run in a virtual machine, and it didn\u2019t support GUI <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications without some extra steps. All of that has changed with upgrades to WSL 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>Linux distributions like Ubuntu that run under WSL include Bash. They\u2019re the best way to get Bash on a Windows 11 PC.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Install_Bash\"><\/span>How to Install Bash<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>BASH comes as the default shell on most Linux distributions (distros) out there. You need to install WSL to get Linux running on Windows though. It will begin downloading and installing necessary assets. It\u2019ll begin by downloading and installing Ubuntu, and then you\u2019ll be prompted to pick a username and password.
