off multibillion-dollar acquisitions. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Just days<strong> <\/strong>after Google parent Alphabet Inc.<br \/>\n        GOOGL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202490156\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.71%<\/bg-quote><\/p>\n<p>        GOOG,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205453964\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.64%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       announced its intention to buy cybersecurity company Mandiant Inc.<br \/>\n        MNDT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/204730283\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.23%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       for $4.5 billion, Amazon.com Inc.<br \/>\n        AMZN,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210331248\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.55%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       on Thursday won unconditional European Union antitrust <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roval for its $8.45 billion purchase of movie studio MGM and closed the deal. Amazon\u2019s move should ramp up competition with streaming rivals Netflix Inc.<br \/>\n        NFLX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202353025\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.48%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and Walt Disney Co.\u2019s<br \/>\n        DIS,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203410047\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.60%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       Disney+. (The Justice Department last month approved Discovery\u2019s acquisition of Warner<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>To underscore the attitude of tech\u2019s largest companies, Google Cloud CISO Phil Venables\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=52562efd9a39dbe9559cb4285&amp;id=df5fe97576&amp;e=151f43383e\" class=\"icon none\">told<\/a>\u00a0the Financial Times that the acquisition, Google\u2019s second largest ever, \u201csignificantly increases competition in the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Next up? Microsoft Corp.<br \/>\n        MSFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207732364\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.76%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       which closed its $19.7 billion acquisition of Nuance in March, is awaiting regulatory approval of its $68.7 billion bid for Activision Blizzard Inc.<br \/>\n        ATVI,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200717283\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.16%<\/bg-quote><span>.<\/span>\n      <\/p>\n<p>The mad dash of acquisitions follows a pattern of Big Tech rushing through deals before federal regulators and lawmakers approve far-reaching antitrust legislation, says Ed Mills, a Washington, D.C., analyst for Raymond James.<\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department is still mulling whether to sue Apple Inc.<br \/>\n        AAPL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/202934861\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+2.09%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       or file a new lawsuit against Google over antitrust concerns. The months-long delay was caused by the death of the Build Back Better bill that earmarked $500 million in funding for each agency. Justice antitrust prosecutors had originally planned to wrap up their probes into Apple\u2019s App Store and Google\u2019s dominance of the online ad market by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the FTC\u2019s suit to divest Meta Platforms Inc.<br \/>\n        FB,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205064656\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+4.16%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       is at least 18 months away. Epic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>s Inc. and Google have agreed to start their antitrust lawsuit in\u00a0January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The status of a raft of tech antitrust legislation at the federal level also remains in flux despite a recent push by Biden to  ratchet up privacy protection for children, with a crackdown on data collection and targeted ads.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read more: Biden\u2019s tech pitch seeks billions for chip manufacturing, online protection for kids<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The coast isn\u2019t entirely clear.
