Goonew, the DMV r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er hailed as a pioneer through mixtapes such as\u00a0<em>Hey Auntie,\u00a0<\/em><em>Big 64<\/em> and\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/0l8VyC0o1DgLWSjichdO7G?si=nIN3rXO2R-COOEN7ZQamfQ\"><em>Goonwick 2<\/em><\/a>, was shot and killed Friday (March 18) by an unknown assailant.<\/p>\n<p>Goonew\u2019s manager confirmed his death to\u00a0the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/music\/2022\/03\/19\/goonew-appreciation\/\"><em>Washington Post<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Prince Georges County police department tweeted about the incident, saying the shooting occurred around 5:40 p.m. in District Heights, Maryland. Hours later, the victim was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Prelim: At approx. 5:40 pm, officers responded to the area for a report of a shooting. Once on scene, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital for life threating injuries. Over the next four years, the 24-year-old rapper would continue to develop his whisper flow to curate tracks dripping with paranoia and a bevy of fans. According to Spotify, he had over 35,000 monthly listens at his death.<\/p>\n<p>Goonew\u2019s death is the latest in a string of violence befalling rappers in Hip Hop.\u00a0In February, rapper 414 Lil Moe\u00a0was shot and killed in his hometown of Milwaukee.
