Zakheim at The Hill<\/a>. Russian President Vladimir Putin is actually \u201cpursuing in Ukraine the same strategy that he employed against Chechnya in 1999-2000 \u2014 namely, to wear down the opposition by destroying any semblance of normal life among the local population.\u201d The \u201clast thing Putin\u201d wants \u201cis an all-out nuclear war that would devastate his country and put an end to his dream of reviving\u201d the Russian Empire. America \u201cmust stop deterring itself with nightmare visions of World War III\u201d and act.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Libertarian_A_Painful_Lesson_in_Misspending\"><\/span>Libertarian: A Painful Lesson in Misspending<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>With the White House warning of \u201cdire consequences\u201d unless Congress OKs $22 billion for COVID testing and treatments, it\u2019s \u201ca damn shame\u201d so much federal COVID-relief money \u201cwent to everything except COVID relief,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2022\/03\/16\/we-cant-fund-covid-treatments-for-the-uninsured-because-we-spent-trillions-of-covid-aid-on-wasteful-garbage\/\">snaps Reason\u2019s Eric Boehm<\/a>. Of more than $5.7 trillion in supposed virus-related spending, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget counts \u201ca scant $682 billion \u2014 less than 12 percent \u2014 as \u2018health spending.\u2019\u200a\u201d That is, there was \u201cplenty of money\u201d to fund this program for the uninsured; instead, state and local governments, schools and individuals were \u201cshowered\u201d with cash they didn\u2019t really need. They then spent all that money and more, and \u201call we got for it was runaway inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Neocon_An_Even_Worse_Iran_Deal\"><\/span>Neocon: An Even Worse Iran Deal<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>America \u201cis sacrificing more in pursuit of a new Iran deal than it will gain from such an agreement,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commentary.org\/noah-rothman\/the-costs-of-a-new-iran-deal-outweigh-the-benefits\/\">frets Commentary\u2019s Noah Rothman<\/a>. Team Biden\u2019s \u201chunger\u201d for a deal \u201cis already undermining its full-scale economic blockade of Russia,\u201d as it\u2019s agreed to some sanctions relief so Moscow can \u201ctake custody of Iranian nuclear fuel.\u201d The new accord\u2019s terms are reportedly weaker than the original\u2019s, \u201cwhich allowed Iran to preserve its nuclear know-how, left its centrifuges intact, did not address Iranian missile development, and gave Tehran a free hand to execute proxy attacks throughout the Middle East.\u201d Iran will also get sanctions relief, leaving it \u201cricher, more powerful, and more influential in its neighborhood\u201d \u2014 and only pushing back the estimated breakout time for a \u201cfissionable device by a whopping six to nine months.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pandemic_journal_Experts_Umpteen_Errors\"><\/span>Pandemic journal: Experts\u2019 Umpteen Errors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe medical establishment\u201d presented \u201ca consensus of expertise\u201d and \u201cmarginalized physicians who had different opinions\u201d on COVID, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/10-biggest-covid-mistakes-americans-apology-dr-marty-makary\">gripes Dr. Marty Makary at Fox News<\/a>. So \u201chow did public health officials do?\u201d Terrible. \u201cThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention argued they were using <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a> to close schools, but many private schools and most schools in Florida and other states remained open throughout\u201d \u2014 with the same COVID outcomes. Studies are showing \u201cthe catastrophic harm\u201d of closures, with kids seeing \u201csignificant motor and cognitive declines and a mental health crisis.\u201d And America \u201cremains an international outlier by masking toddlers,\u201d which \u201chad zero benefit and some harm.\u201d Dr. Anthony Fauci was particularly hopeless: For months, he assumed a surface-transmission model when all other deadly coronaviruses spread by air \u2014 and downplayed the possibility of a lab leak even longer.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Foreign_desk_Ukraines_Likely_Freeze\"><\/span>Foreign desk: Ukraine\u2019s Likely Freeze<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cFairytale endings never h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>en in war,\u201d and the \u201cUkraine war might not end,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/spectatorworld.com\/topic\/why-the-ukraine-war-may-not-end\/\">warns Harry J. Kazianis at Spectator World<\/a>.
