Times has admitted the laptop is real.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<div class=\"inline-module inline-module--columnist inline-module--author\">\n<div before the 2020 election.<br \/>But now that we are all on the same page, there are some serious questions the administration needs to answer, which go to America\u2019s national security at a time of international peril.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Question_1\"><\/span>Question 1<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Biden\u2019s press secretary, Jen Psaki, refused to answer The Post\u2019s White House reporter, Steven Nelson, when he had the rare opportunity to ask her two of those questions last week.<br \/>Psaki\u2019s excuse was that Hunter Biden \u201cdoesn\u2019t work in the government.\u201d<br \/>But she wasn\u2019t being asked about Hunter. She was being asked about her boss, the president.<br \/>\u201cHow is President Biden navigating conflicts of interest when it comes to sanctioning people who have done business with his family?\u201d asked Nelson.<br \/>\u201cWhat would be his conflicts of interest?\u201d Psaki coolly replied.<br \/>Well, just for starters, Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina, who paid $3.5 million into a bank account associated with Hunter and his business partner Devon Archer, was not sanctioned along with other Putin-allied oligarchs this month.<br \/>Why not? Was it an oversight? Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear on a guest list Hunter prepared for a dinner at Washington\u2019s Cafe Milano where his father, then VP, would meet with his son\u2019s overseas business partners from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.<br \/>After The Post published details of that dinner last year, the White House quietly admitted to a Washington Post fact-checker that Biden did attend the dinner, but only briefly.<br \/>That\u2019s a pretty important admission, because during the election campaign, Biden repeatedly denied meeting Hunter\u2019s overseas business partners. He called The Post\u2019s reporting a \u201cbunch of garbage\u201d and the laptop a \u201cRussian plant.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Question_2\"><\/span>Question 2<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Nelson\u2019s second question to Psaki last week was about China.<br \/>\u201cMy question about the conflict of interest when it comes to China is, last year the first son\u2019s attorney said that he divested from a Chinese investment fund controlled by Chinese state-owned entities .\u2009.\u2009. He doesn\u2019t work for the government, I point you to his representatives,\u201d she said curtly.<br \/>\u201cI think we\u2019re done here.\u201d<br \/>Not so fast, lady.<br \/>If the president\u2019s son is in business with the government of Communist China, that is not a private matter, but a matter of urgent public interest.<br \/>She told us last year that Hunter was in the process of divesting his 10% share of the Chinese investment firm BHR Partners, which is co-owned by the Bank of China and has $2.4 billion of funds under management.<\/p>\n<p>Last November, Hunter\u2019s lawyer told the Times he no longer owns a share of BHR.<br \/>But, according to online records of the Chinese business registry Baidu, as of Wednesday, Hunter\u2019s company Skaneateles LLC, continues to hold a 10% stake in BHR.<br \/>Hunter is still named on corporate records as sole governor of Skaneateles, although the company is listed as \u201crevoked\u201d on the Web site of the Washington, DC, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. That is because a $300 \u201creinstatement fee\u201d has not been paid, the Washington Examiner reported this month.<br \/>Clearly, if Hunter retains his shareholding, that should be disclosed.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Basic_journalism\"><\/span>Basic journalism<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The same <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> organs that ignored and traduced The Post\u2019s laptop reporting still show no curiosity about the tens of millions of dollars which the Biden family has collected from oligarchs in Russia, Ukraine and China.<br \/>The Times didn\u2019t need to rely on the laptop to do basic journalism on this scheme.<br \/>They could have asked Tony Bobulinski, Hunter\u2019s former business partner, who made himself available to the media before the 2020 election. He gave the FBI e-mails, documents and WhatsApp messages which corroborate and augment material on the laptop.<br \/>In addition, the Grassley-Johnson inquiry provided an official money trail from overseas interests to bank accounts associated with the Bidens and their partners.<br \/>The refusal of the Times and the rest of the media to cover this story amounted to election interference.<br \/>Polls show that about 10% of Biden voters would have changed their vote if they had known about the scandal. That would have had a material effect on the result.
