We would like to hand over the project to our community, or a community-selected party for takeover if that&#8217;s feasible \/ possible.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m deeply sorry,<br \/>Jack<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 neonexus_world (@neonexus_world) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/neonexus_world\/status\/1505908943666749445?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 21, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nEstimates <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mexicancik1\/status\/1505930557712183299\">suggest<\/a> that the project raised around 25,000 SOL for its NFT mints, which at today&#8217;s prices would be worth $2.2 million. With SOL prices climbing to over $150 around the time of the token mints, the project may have made an estimated $3.5 to $4.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>NeoNexus is a Metaverse project, featuring both a planned utility and governance coin, it had <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vSAho991lgI59-mQTjO-s2Gw9IhaknAxO_uCM6kjQ8TXvseRjTWzXnUpl61xmdkUV5IaUah0c1T2djo\/pub?start=false&amp;loop=false&amp;delayms=60000&amp;slide=id.g11529c56b60_0_92\">sold<\/a> over 4,000 \u201cproperty NFTs\u201d, with the project planning to offer a further 6,000 property NFTs, and character, vehicle, and accessory tokens planned for the future. The project currently has over 13,000 members in its Discord channel.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on the project&#8217;s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/discord.gg\/y76VcXQrZq\">Discord<\/a>, Shi wrote that the market conditions were to blame for the team halting development, with the project&#8217;s funds used to pay wages, tech infrastructure, business fees, and taxes.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt has been incredibly difficult trying to grow and continue our project in this ecosystem and market conditions where the price of SOL has dropped so much and the activity, volume, and interest in the entirety of the Solana NFT space has decreased.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Market conditions over the past few months have been choppy, with the price of SOL falling over 50% in 3 months according to data from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/solana\">CoinGecko<\/a>. Many offered whitelists for upcoming mints to those who responded with \u201cNEONEXUS\u201d on their respective Discord channels.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the websites for both the NeoNexus project and Unlock Defi were offline.
