Princeton University senior who got engaged to Pickett in January, posted a sweet message on her Instagram Story as the 23-year-old quarterback showed off his skill set \u2014 and slightly larger hand first-round pick, has been at the center of a hand-size controversy since the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis earlier this month. After previously measuring at 8.5 inches at the combine, Pickett\u2019s right hand increased by 1\/8 an inch to 8 5\/8 inches on Monday, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/33565847\/kenny-pickett-hand-size-increases-eighth-inch-nfl-combine-pittsburgh-panthers-pro-day\">according to ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe stretches work,\u201d Pickett said, laughing. \u201cIt\u2019s the reason why I\u2019ve been doing them. If it helped getting an eighth of an inch, I\u2019ll take it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even with the slightly bigger measurement, Pickett\u2019s hand would still be the smallest of any starter or notable NFL backup, according to ESPN. I\u2019m sure that won\u2019t be the last of [the talk], but it\u2019ll be the last measurement I take of it. Your tape is your r\u00e9sum\u00e9. All this other stuff are the boxes you have to check before the draft,\u201d the New Jersey native said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Pickett, a Heisman Trophy finalist, finished the 2021 season by throwing for 4,319 yards, 42 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
