While quite a few of us have strong opinions, there\u2019s no one we\u2019d rather hear from on the subject than\u00a0<strong>Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Having played Buffy Summers for seven seasons, the\u00a0<em>Cruel Intentions<\/em> star was heartbreaking, hilarious, badass, sexy,\u00a0inspiring, and truly iconic. Who could ever replace her? Well, she has a thought\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: SMG Opens Up About All Those Rumors Of <em>Buffy<\/em> Cast Feuds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In his new book, <em>Into Every Generation a Slayer Is Born: How Buffy Staked Our Hearts<\/em>, author <strong>Evan Ross Katz<\/strong> asked SMG who she thought could fill her shoes in a possible reboot, and she answered:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI vote <strong>Zendaya<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2026 is a really great call. The young star has been giving unbelievably moving (and very different) performances in the <em>Spider-Man<\/em> films and\u00a0<em>Euphoria<\/em>. If there\u2019s anyone her age that one might consider already iconic, it\u2019s Zendaya.<\/p>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Damn, that\u2019s pretty good casting.<\/p>\n<p>Our only question is\u2026 Is such a reboot really as inevitable as some people think??<\/p>\n<p>TBH, we\u2019re guessing the\u00a0<strong>Joss Whedon<\/strong> stuff actually pushed the chances back a couple years at least. The sour taste in the mouths of fans certainly takes the shine off the IP. Having a creator known more for being a problematic pariah than an acclaimed writer isn\u2019t the best recipe to get new fans either these days. We mean, look at\u00a0<em>Harry Potter<\/em> \u2014 is anyone really excited for that next\u00a0<em>Fantastic Beasts<\/em> movie at this point?<\/p>\n<p>What do YOU think?
